Guided Visualization for Boston Marathon (VIDEO)
I’ve been a big fan of visualization every since my high school cross country coach (Coach Christy — shout out!) began using it with us my freshman year.
Of course there is plenty of research to back up that visualizing yourself performing a task or reaching a goal is a great way to mentally prepare yourself for actually doing it.
Following this visualization for Boston several times a week will make sure that you’re mentally ready to execute your race plan. By the time you step to the line you will have already run the race dozens of times in your mind!
Note that visualization is something that gets better with practice so don’t worry if your mind wanders or you fall asleep — you’re still getting benefits!
Check it out and let me know what you think!
