Start dates for fall marathon training (CHART)

I’m a cautious person by nature, and (full disclosure) I have been wrong about every single prediction I’ve made about COVID and racing. So let’s just say I am going to whisper this and try not to jinx anything …

 

If you’re planning to run one of the (many) fall marathons, you need to start thinking about training sooner rather than later! This chart has when to start marathon training for the big fall races this year.

 

You’ll see that I’ve highlighted the 20-week and “+6 weeks” (pre-training!) columns because for most of us after a year with limited racing opportunities, it’s hard to go wrong with more time to prepare!
