Running Form Drills: Ankling
Distance runners in general have been a little late to the running form game — our friends in the sprint world have been way ahead of us for years! So when it comes to running form drills to help you improve, I like to look to the sprint world for help.
One of my favorite “borrowed” (stolen) running form drills from the sprint world is the “ankling” drill. This is a super-easy drill that you can use pre-run or pre-workout to wake your legs up, emphasize short ground contact time, and practice proper foot placement under your hips.
